Superman star Henry Cavill to join Tom Cruise in 'MI6'

Superman star Henry Cavill has reportedly joined the cast of ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ alongside megastar film actor Tom Cruise.

Henry Cavill, 33, will join Tom Cruise, 54, in the sixth installment of the action movie franchise, after a series of comments appeared on Instagram posts by Cavill and the project's director, Christopher McQuarrie.

“Say, @henrycavill. Had a thought. Curious if you're interested in a role in the 6th installment of Mission: Impossible. No pressure.” McQuarrie’s Istagram post read.

The proposed film will see the return of cast members Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson and Jeremy Renner.

Cavill, who has played the lead role in the last two ‘Superman’ films, said in reply that he did want the role with a follow-up message.

‘Mission: Impossible 6’ is expected to hit theaters in July 2018.

Cavill’s last famous costar was Ben Affleck in the movie ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’.

Tom Cruise is an American actor and producer, who has won three Golden Globe Awards. His film repertoire includes ‘Top Gun’, ‘Rain Man’, Jerry Maguire’, ‘War of the Worlds’, ‘Jack Reacher’ and ‘Edge of Tomorrow’, among others.
